E_OS project meets stringent EIB requirements

The European Investment Bank (EIB) supports "solid and viable projects" which contribute to achieving the EU targets. One of these targets is climate protection, to which the project "E_OS Energy Optimisation through Sludge Treatment" of ebswien hauptkläranlage makes a vital contribution. After a thorough review, the European Investment Bank decided that E_OS fully complies with the bank's stringent eligibility requirements. "This has allowed us to access bank funding for the E_OS project on the best terms currently available on the market," says Environment City Councillor Sima. "This has further optimised the economic viability of the most significant environmental project the City of Vienna has launched to date." EIB Vice-President Wilhelm Molterer, Environment City Councillor Ulli Sima, Director General Christian Gantner and Authorised Signatory Franz Klager signed the agreement on June 1, 2015.
